Salsacise
In December 2005 we were asked to give dance classes to a group of ladies – they all wanted to learn Salsa! After looking at the venue and chatting more it was agreed that we would intergrate Salsa into an exercise regime and our classes began in February 2006. Everyone enjoyed the initial class so much that we were asked could they have two classes each week. And so Salsacise was born!
Salsacise is a very dynamic and exciting class full of Latin and exotic music flavours. The routines feature aerobic interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt your body. It targets areas such as glutes. legs, arms, core, and the most important muscle, the heart! It is a mixture of body sculpting movements and easy to follow dance steps, although you do not have to know how to dance to do Salsacise.
Salsacise is a fun, effective, and simple fitness system that uses the principle of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize calorific output, fat burning, and total body toning. The sexy and explosive Latin rhythms create a party like atmosphere that deliver results, as well as a "feel happy" workout.
Surprising your body with new activities, dance forces it to work harder using muscle groups in different ways. In the process you´ll burn more calories than doing the same old routines.

Dancing is the perfect blend of isometric and isotonic resistance, two key ingredients in muscle building and toning. Besides working every muscle in the body, dancing is good for the heart and mind.
Did you know that dancing relieves stress, aids relaxation, builds self-esteem, straightens your posture, and boosts emotional and physical health? So grab some friends and come take a Salsacise class!!
Our classes were never created just for ladies although they have always outnumbered the men. They are for everyone at any age with different abilities, each individual determining their own effort.
What to wear? Loose clothing, comfy shoes (trainer type for good support) and socks. Oh, yes – bring WATER!
